Я увидел перед собой Исаака, любящего своего отца и верующего ему. Я увидел его в мраморном блоке и изваял его таким.
Мрамор так похож на человеческую кожу, он так же пропускает свет, он твёрд и мягок одновременно подобно мышцам человека. Я хотел передать тот момент на грани жизни и смерти, и то смирение и любовь сына к отцу, не смотря ни на что, настоящую преданность и смирение любви.
