In Jogginghose und Achselshirt bedient er die Klischees unprätentiös wie die Fernbedienung. Freitags Krimis, die Nachrichten um acht, zum Karneval die Büttenreden bei einem Bier oder auch zwei, zappt er sich durch Programme wie durch anderer Leute Schlafzimmer. Die Intrigen des Arztes, das Leiden betrogener Frauen. Mal mit viel nackter Haut, mal in Uniform und weißem Kittel. Justizskandale liebt er und längst vergessene Verbrechen steuern eigene Dämonen. Der Blutdruck steigt, der Atem stockt, sein bester Freund Gewehr bei Fuß. Doch geschossen wird hier schon lange nicht mehr. Sein letztes „Wie geht es Ihnen?“ bekam er vom Urologen zusammen mit dem PSA-Wert.
Im Halbdunkeln sieht er der Neuen aus Hausnummer 11 beim Zähneputzen zu. Erregt geht er zu Bett und nimmt sie mit unter die Decke. Pantoffeln ineinandergeschoben wie Schildkröten beim Liebesakt, denkt er beim Einschlafen, wie es wäre, ein anderer zu sein. Wie damals am Strand, als er dachte, besonders zu sein.

Fauvism

Born in 1905 in Paris, this movement bring together many artists who shared a radical practice of color. The painting by Henri Matisse (1869-1954), The woman with the hat, noticed at the autumn salon is one of the outstanding works of this movement. Artists like Maurice de Vlaminck (1876-1958), Raoul Dufy (1877-1947) and Georges Braque (1882-1963) mark this movement.

For Rea Schenk, art is a way of dealing with the unspeakable . An opportunity to question common categories and appropriately re-establish them. As an engineer, she is a career changer in the art scene. Certainly not by chance and for various reasons, she has found digital art to be the right thing for her at the moment, but is increasingly experimenting in combination with traditional techniques. For them, technology is not a narcissistic violation of their boundaries, but rather an extension and help to express what other languages do not allow. Original photographs change, are sometimes discarded, rearranged, processed using very different techniques and, increasingly, completely painted over. Rea chooses the path that always wants something more, looks for something in between. Who seeks to capture the atmospheric, what cannot be said.

WHO?

Woman, artist and technician, born in Berlin in 1969. Graphic design was my passion early on, but I didn't have the courage for a long time. In addition to graphic work for small museums, clubs, musicians and small agencies, the path initially went into technology. As an engineer, I returned to CAD and my passion through technical drawing and photography.
