Polina Givago, professional artist living in Marseille, studied art in Russia, obtained a degree in visual arts at the Sorbonne University in Paris. His studies allowed him to practice painting, drawing from a live model, but also engraving, screen printing, video and photography. Her work reveals the beauty and expressiveness of the human body, by integrating its imaginary scenarios, and thus tells a story.

Her experience as a theater scenographer and lighting designer influences her way of seeing and her choice of composition and colors in his works. They are distinguished by their dramatism, their stylization, their simplification, their exaggeration, their accentuated contrast and their intense palette.

Where does the artist draw her inspiration? It is the living that is at the center of his artistic practice. Whether it is a face or a human body, the main thing is to capture the present moment on the spot, as long as the model is there in front of one's eyes in the given atmosphere and light.

“I find it fascinating to watch people and imagine their lives, their sorrows, their joys: what carries them. I believe that our existence is a constant flow of energy, each person is at the center of this flow which reflects their vibrations. The way we perceive the world around us programs the events and people we meet along the way. I seek to highlight the charm, humor, sensuality and drama of our lives.”
