A man is waiting in Manhattan This man has been waiting for thirteen years He opened his eyes to the horrors of September And in the cold of this new December He thinks of Christmases lying under the ashes He saw the fall of the Babels Two fingers pointed to the sky Challenges thrown to the eternal Demons of misery, blinded by hunger In their thirst for light have engraved the end word The temple of world trade In a crash of cries and tears Has become a tombstone Greed at his memorial This man has been waiting for thirteen years May the God of the cross and the crescent Remind men and braggarts That he is stronger than dollars But men have set their sights on him The crusaders have left to punish the mustachioed Vil pretext for carnage well sold Behind the valiant knight crusader Banner of justice and liberty Hides the twice barred serpent Endless thirsty heavy barrels Pure masks on dark grounds Black designs for petrodollar From God or the devil doesn't care Thirst without fi n of necrodollars Yesterday, they hung the mustachioed Old purveyor of tears and carnage Child grave-digger of lost women Yesterday, they turned the page Nauseabouts purveyors of images The man who alone governs the world The one who gives the meaning of the round Sitting on a mountain of graves Endless flying these bombs How many children of the great megalopolis Mown by capital punishment For their name in capital letter Engraved on the pediment of the too white Democrat capitol on a pile of seated carcasses Demons of hatred on rotten corpses Red tears the full Tiger Heavy weapons well damped But man waits in Manhattan Thirteen Christmases and vain prayers On the stones remains of Babel Standing there like a hotel God has come to celebrate Christmas God waits for God waits in Manhattan
