I was born in 1945, the famous baby boom: I was in it!
I live in Franche-Comté, a beautiful region in eastern France, very green and welcoming. My city is Besançon, an old Spanish city as Victor Hugo said; he knew what he was talking about since he was born there in 1802 “This century was 2 years old...”
Since this year (2008) Vauban's fortifications which “dress” Besançon, with the eleven French sites created by him, have been classified as UNESCO world heritage sites!

My professional career had nothing to do with artistic professions! Just think: I ended up as a management agent in a Social Security organization, that of farmers.
But I have always been attracted to drawing and painting since my childhood. However, I really started painting in 2001, taking advantage of a long immobilization of almost 5 months following a surgical operation.
Retired since the end of 2005 (the “grandpa boom!”), I continued more assiduously by educating myself in books and specialized journals.
I tried all the techniques: acrylic, watercolor, oil, charcoal in particular. But, after many attempts, it is oil painting that primarily interests me and which I practice almost exclusively now.
This year I discovered a very “colorful” style of painting practiced by some Mediterranean painters. I adopted, in all modesty and without pretension, the style of Christian Eurgal who chose to express the light and colors of Provence by essentially using the three primary colors in very close shades and by simplifying the landscapes.
I am therefore a true amateur painter without pretension.

However, I don't just paint, far from it.
I have other “hobbies”: fishing, DIY, photography and video, the computer and..... cinema and sport in front of the TV!!!!!!
