Bust of a reclining woman sunbathing on a plaid, on a cobbled street.The breast is clasped in a double-breasted garment leaving the shoulders free. The garment is painted in the same tones as the cobblestones on which the model is lying.

Jean Marie Pen was born in 1959 and began painting on canvas in 1994, with his earliest works being black and white portraits with a hint of blue. Then came still lifes and landscapes, one by one, with a palette that was enriched by numerous tones. Only in oil, with no special influences other than a few Northern European artists and their bright masterpieces. Exhibitions in a few locations along the Côtes d'Armor, then in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon. Faces, classic still lifes, urban or coastal vistas are among his privileged subjects.
