EN - The sea calls this cloudy woman. The wave catches her and she is overwhelmed by her desire to escape.
This Art piece is part of the "Cloudy-Women" collection. Those portraits are an invitation to dreams, travels through poetry and sweetness.
The cloud is always moving depending of the emotions of the character.
For this one, the particularity is the wave, which is also the dress she wears. The game of transparency with the water can make think of silk fabric.

Is it because she was born in Noyon, under the low skies of Picardy, that Pauline Bailly is so fond of clouds? For more than eight years, her pictorial work has revolved around the figures of cloud women, oil paintings that she creates according to her inspirations, in small or large format.
Her studies in cinematography at the University of Lille did not, however, predestine her to painting, which she patiently learned as an autodidact. Also a screenwriter, she today combines her taste for cinematographic writing with her work as an artist, and has launched an animated film project around Suzanne Valadon, whose life as a free woman and major artist has nourished her own work around cloud women.
Les Femmes-Nuages
Evanescent, shrouded in mystery, Pauline Bailly's cloud women owe as much to surrealism as to the free fantasy of their author. They are like a poetic link between the portrait and the landscape. The paintings, in their own personality, are invitations to escape, the meaning of which is not imposed. It’s up to everyone to project their dreams…
