After studying graphic arts and advertising in Tours at the end of the 1970s, Patrick Demuth embarked on a career as an independent illustrator: advertising, posters, board games and publishing houses (Denoël, Presses de the city, Black River…), especially in science fiction. His illustrations are often exhibited at science fiction festivals, book fairs and imaginary fairs. He received the Science Fiction Illustration Prize in 1987.
His work and his architectural sketches led him to work in this field as well, mainly in the restoration of built heritage with architects and associations.
Settled since 2015 in the Larzac, in France, he produces pastels on canvas and oils, with the theme of the landscapes of the Larzac, female figurative paintings, as well as paintings and illustrations inspired by fantasy and science fiction.
