Hailing from the vibrant cityscape of Barcelona but now a resident of Japan, I've long been captivated by the pulsating energy of bustling crowds, an enduring muse for my artistic endeavors. The vivacious streets of Japan, alive with ceaseless activity, serve as an unending wellspring of creative inspiration. In this particular masterpiece, I endeavored to immortalize the spirited essence of Akihabara, Tokyo's iconic electronic epicenter, renowned for its labyrinthine array of electronics and components shops.

Crafted digitally on a sleek tablet canvas, this artwork embodies the graceful fluidity and spontaneous charm reminiscent of traditional watercolor techniques. Translated onto archival art paper through the meticulous giclée printing process, the piece emerges resplendent with intricate detailing and vibrant hues, faithfully preserving the very soul of its original conception. Limited to an exclusive edition of 23 prints, each bears the distinctive signature of the artist, thereby affirming its authenticity and ensuring its status as a coveted collector's item.

My name is Orlando, I was born and I live in Paris.
After pursuing studies in law and political science and making many trips abroad I finally decided to turn to writing and drawing.
I have always been interested in art and my love for the details of the visual Japanese culture, including the japanese prints has surely contributed to this choice of starting drawing.

It's been 11 years since I started this self-taught adventure. Influenced by Japan, where I have often stayed and by writing, my drawing can be read as a line after line work, a description of the simplicity and the ordinary of everyday life.

I love drawing from photos I take during my trips. I love the powerful or subtle lines of black ink heighten by watercolor to insuflate life to my subjects. I also sometimes prefer the quiet elegance of black and white and grey tones. But always my work is about detail.

I have a great preference for paper which is the main medium I use in my work. I have an absolute love for the subtlety of his touch and the incomparable precision he allows. I draw with a black felt or using Indian ink and for the color I use what is called the technique of dry watercolor.

The paintings and drawings exposed on this website are for sale so feel free to contact me if you are interested and would like to receive more detailed views before making your choice.

Hoping you will enjoy my work, thank you for taking a tour here.
