Many of us heard stories in childhood about brave and reckless pirates who conquered the depths of the sea. Inspired by these stories, the artist created a painting that hides in itself the image of a ship, barely perceptible behind a thick fog.
The pirate ship on the canvas is majestic and impressive. It is the central image of the painting. The artist uses minimum color combinations: black and shades of brown, so as not to distract the viewer from the main plot. The ship moves towards the viewer. Such a visual move makes the person looking at the painting its participant, who is standing at the seashore and looking at the ship approaching towards the shore dashingly.
Black strokes appear especially deep against a calm gray background. The atmosphere of the painting is intriguing and leaves a lot of questions. For what purpose is the ship sailing to the shore? Will the people sailing on the ship be kind or evil?
