Dignity took me a few months to be realized. I finished it during the start of the pandemic. As I painted this picture, I kept thinking about how vulnerable and defenseless our seniors are. Well, it is high time to restore their lost dignity. I have a lot of time, colors, texture and above all light. In this case, I borrowed the style by juxtaposed spots of color. By the way, I love the imperfection!

Nicole Caron is a contemporary Canadian painter. She finds great inspiration in the representation of light, Quebec landscapes, and flowers. The semi-figurative paintings by Caron are full of texture, light, and density. She hopes to convey via her paintings light, clarity, spontaneity, and most of all a lot of energy. The goal of the artist is to convey to viewers of her paintings her perspective of the beauty of flowers and landscapes combined with a distinctive color composition. She is motivated by the vibrant colors of Armand Tatossian, the bold strokes and distinctive motions of Riopelle, and Marcelle Ferron to develop a personal artistic approach, style, and signature.
