A “diverse autodidact”, my studies did not lead me to the School of Fine Arts. However, I was able to cultivate a personal taste for drawing, then painting, to the point of teaching it for several years.

Coming from graphics and design, a vast nebula today very heterogeneous, I have kept the taste for the variety which my multiple works testify to.

Cultivating an obvious taste for the subject, I ;likes to vary my inspiration as I play with multiple techniques and mediums. From a still life like that of the Spanish Bodegon to an animal from the savannah or an iconic figure from the 7th Art, so many clear references to realities known to all, I am however careful not to reduce my creations in the nets of hyperrealism. When I create a portrait for example, what is close to my heart is this desire to seek, beyond the physical features of a face, the expression of a singular personality, what defines it deep down. 039;itself, its meanders and its treasures...

From a deliberately small but very worked palette, my brush plays above all with light and its games, through the multiple techniques: charcoal, ink, pastel, oil or acrylic, which I use as I wish.

For many years now, I have favored the speed of doing it, without the intermediate stage of drawing, with the permanent concern to retain the very life of the chosen subject. I like to dissect what I see, as if to extract aesthetics and quintessence and make it my own.

This spontaneity is expressed for example in the large set of marines, which I have made throughout my career. In which sometimes the border is thin between abstraction and figuration...

My great interest in the Hudson River School movement and the luminist movement, inspires more and more my creations, to restore the raging ocean, the stormy sky, the colors of the light, without forgetting this little imprint of Romanticism which is mine. My framework: my hypersensitivity, emotion, the emotions of life, whether they are sweet, serious, melancholic, chaotic...

< p>Today very attached to defending our planet and all its riches, working to slow down its slow destruction, my creations are intended to be an ode to the simple and at the same time grandiose beauties of our nature.
