Naïma Gharbi, born August 29, 1974 in Lyon, France, is a digital artist who followed an artistic path off the beaten track. The child of modest immigrants, she did not have the opportunity to attend art school, which did not hinder her determination to pursue an artistic career.
His artistic approach is characterized by his mastery of digital retouching, but it goes well beyond the use of digital tools. Naïma thinks deeply, questions and appropriates contemporary technologies to integrate them into the heart of her artistic approach. His digital process thus becomes a true artistic process in itself, questioning existing conventions.
Naïma explores the potential of computing as an artistic medium, transforming each work into coded information, invisible and illegible until it is transposed into a media or support accessible to the human senses. Each of his creations is unique, possessing its own identity in terms of content, style, scope and intention. Beyond this uniqueness, his works are based on a composition, a writing structure that is specific to him.
Naïma Gharbi's digital art aims to captivate the viewer, by using the screen as a frame that demarcates two spaces and by promoting a frontal relationship between the work and its audience. His artistic mission is to stimulate the imagination and provoke reflection in those who discover his work.
For Naïma, creating is a necessity, an expression of freedom and emotion. She likes to recall: "Freedom that I paint, indescribable dreams... with my hand I imagine, with my hand I create, what we can imagine in order to continue dreaming." Under the pseudonym Ngbisaso, she pursues her artistic quest with passion and determination.
