An engineer by profession, with a PhD in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University, Moumita has worked in the industry and academia for twenty years. After arriving in Europe, she decided to express her ideas through the strokes of brush and paints. What was a passion for painting, transformed into a full-time engagement; and Moumita developed Mumuscape –--- a window to the world of her artistic expression.

She calls herself a modern existentialist artist; a painter who blends styles, with many shades of emotions and its plethora of colors. Her primary medium is acrylic.

She loves traveling to new places – the sources of her inspiration being the communities, she engages with.

Currently, Moumita lives in Brussels, with her husband and their son. They support her efforts, and are the first line of critical reviewers of her work.
