• I am a visual artist, producing acrylic and oil painting, collage, Islamic calligraphy, and ‘wood painting’ a technique that involves making abstract designs and mosaics out of diseased wood
• I have exhibited widely in Europe and have run many workshops and demonstrations
• My main influences come from my personal life experiences of migration, culture, my beliefs as a Muslim, and my love of colour
• I have two degrees: Art and Furniture Design, and Modern Languages
