This artwork took me hours to create the final sketch. I wanted the canvases to be able to run vertically but also horizontally. The concept reminded me of the 9 wooden block puzzles I had as a child, and also the plastic puzzles one tile at a time up and down, side to side. In the end it turned out that the top and bottom canvas can also be run together vertically as a match.

I loved creating this and I will use the sketch again and revisit the artwork creating it in different sizes and colours, I might even add to it at a later date to see how far I can take this. Could I really create an artwork that would be able to be like the wooden block puzzle but go further than that so that no matter where each tile is placed it always shows a complete image.
