Architectural Wave: Winter at Koblenz Ropeway
Leafless boughs frame the swooping curve of the Koblenz Ropeway's station roof, an elegant harmony of nature and Werner Sobek's architectural design. In the grip of winter, this image captures the stark beauty of the leafless trees against the fluid lines of the Koblenz Ropeway valley station's roof in Germany. Designed by Werner Sobek with Doppelmayr, the structure is a masterpiece of lightweight construction, with a 1 mm thick fabric stretched over a slender steel frame, illustrating the fusion of functionality and aesthetics.

All the photographs as prints from the series " By The Roadside" are conceived by me as an artist as Nguyen miniatures (Nguyensminiaturen). I recommend the following configuration when ordering a motif from the series:
Buy your art print in Glossy finish printed on Hahnemühle fine art baryta 325g, size 20 x 30 cm or 30 x 45 cm, Black wood frame with white mat (1,4 mm x 5cm) and museum glass.

Michael Nguyen is a German photographer born in 1958 and based in Gauting, Germany. In 1980 he made his first photographic work with a Nikon F3 in Berlin. Since 2018, Nguyen has been focusing on his ongoing series called "By the Roadside", which is his main artistic focus. According to him, if we walk with our eyes open, we can see interesting, beautiful and sometimes ugly things along the road every day. And if we walk not only with our eyes, but also with our hearts and minds open, we will discover a world that would otherwise remain closed to us. This world can be spectacular or ordinary, but surprisingly miraculous. Nguyen accompanies us on small trips through places in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria and elsewhere, to discover where chance takes us. Since 2021, Nguyen has focused exclusively on architectural photography, with an artistic component that intentionally interprets buildings away from reality.
