Artist listed at AKOUN.

Mélanie Quentin was born on February 6, 1946 in Neuilly-sur-Seine.

After studying psychology, she took plastic arts courses at the city of Paris, learned lithography with Louis Vuillermoz and then entered the studio of André Del Debbio (Académie Julian).
Her studio-gallery is located at 61 Grande Rue in Barbizon where she teaches sculpture.

Several important events have marked his career:
• in 1998, a report was devoted to him on FR3,
• in 1999, she created the allegorical sculpture "La Fortune" for La Française des jeux,
• in 2000, she produced the monument "Mon Oncle" commissioned by the city of Saint-Maur-des-fossés and installed on the Place de la Pelouse in homage to the filmmaker Jacques Tati,
• in 2000, she represented France and sculpture at the first International Forum for Peace of Creative Women in the Mediterranean under the auspices of UNESCO in Rhodes (organized by the Dodecanese prefecture).
• in 2006, she created the monument "Laconnaissance" at the request of the city of Sainte-Marie-de-Ré, located on Place des Pleïades in front of the media library.
• in 2011, publication of a book on his work (Les Léopards d'or editions).
• from 2011 to 2013, release of 7 3D DVDs on his work produced by Michel Patient (Amélia Films).

Since the year 2000, the Musée Médicis in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés has had the sculpture "Mon oncle". Recognized during collective exhibitions (gold medal of the international living room of Vittel 1996, price of the city of Fontainebleau 2006, silver medal of the living room of the French artists 2007, price of the city of Saint-Maur-des-Fossés 2013 ...), Mélanie Quentin exhibits in many galleries but also as guest of honor in salons. Inspired by both modern and ancient times, Mélanie Quentin works around the theme of the human: women, couples or emblematic figures. His style is figurative, his modeling is spontaneous and very in touch. She uses chamotte clay which she translates into bronze, a material that magnifies her sculptures and makes them durable. For twenty years, his works have been sold to collectors all over the world (Germany, Belgium, Italy, United States, China, Australia, England, etc.).

The Artist was highlighted in an article in Artmajeur Magazine:
