ABOUT THE PAINTED AVE:
"Araracanga" and "aracanga" come from the term tupi arara'kãga. [2] "Arara" comes from the Tupi a'rara. [3] "Ararapiranga" comes from the Tupi term for "red macaw". [4] araguai. In Brazil it occurs from the Amazon to the west of Piauí, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul and São Paulo. Like the macaw-canindé, it also lives in the city of Campo Grande. The observation of flocks of red macaws expanding and migrating is making possible the occurrence of this species on the border of the states of Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo and Paraná, where it was already considered extinct.
The red macaw measures up to ninety centimeters in length and weighs up to 1.5 kilograms. Each posture is composed of five-centimeter eggs, incubated for 29 days.
The nest of this macaw is made in the hollow of trees, but it also takes advantage of holes in rocky walls to lay eggs, which are shocked only by the female, which is in the nest. The male, who, in this species, is faithful, keeping the same female companion for the rest of his life, is responsible for ensuring the feeding of both the female and the offspring.

SOBRE A AVE PINTADA:
"Araracanga" e "aracanga" vêm do termo tupi arara'kãga.[2] "Arara" vem do tupi a'rara.[3] "Ararapiranga" vem do termo tupi para "arara vermelha".[4] araguai. No Brasil ocorre desde a Amazônia até oeste do Piauí, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul e São Paulo.
