Abstract work with lines and colours, very loosely based on one of my photographs. A small detail of a photo was taken, enlarged many times and colorized using different digital techniques. Thus creating an abstract expressionist painting.

McRoa - Marco Brugts, 1963 - has been photographing since 1985. He studied photography and graphic design at the Rotterdam Academy of Visual Arts, now the Willem de Kooning Academy.
A few years ago he devoted himself to researching and abstracting reality in his photographs. Using various techniques he creates digital paintings. Sometimes abstract, but often figurative and almost always with a preference for bright, outspoken colours and shapes.
