Catherine Mazarguil est artiste peintre professionnelle, elle vit de sa peinture et de son enseignement artistique.
Elle dessine depuis l’age de 15 ans, ayant appris le dessin dans l'atelier du peintre Abel Renault à Saint Germain en Laye. A étudié aux Arts Déco (ENSAD - 1 an) et aux Beaux Arts à Paris (ENSBA- 5 ans).
Elle dirige une école d'art depuis 1993 : l'Atelier du Laurier Rouge.
Depuis une quinzaine d’années, sa création picturale prend résolument le chemin de l’abstraction, ou couleurs et rigueur s’assemblent pour donner forme réelle à ses visions.
