I remember the very first time that I watched "The Wizard of Oz" on television many years ago. As Dorothy fell into her dreamstate, her humdrum world of dreary black and white images was suddenly transformed into a magical place that was overflowing with vivid colors and breathtaking images! Rainbow-colored flowers, adorable munchkins in vivid costumes, and even a yellow brick road were all there to engage the senses as Dorothy's subconscious indulged its whim to see a world that was bigger than life, and more fantastic than anything she ever could have imagined.

In much the same way, a transition from the ordinary to the extraordinary pretty much sums up the way in which I paint. Beautiful sunlit places drenched in phantasmagoric colors and creamy impasto textures are the trademarks of my style.
