This is a piece of work from a series about the self exploitation of women today. Having grown up with three feminists in the eighties I am fascinated how women portray themselves today. I am exploring the effect of social media on the female body and how they use digital and physical manipulation in the search for perfection. Asking the question, who are they doing this for and why? These abstract females figures are an attempt to express these ideas through the expression of butchered and dressed meat. I like to use strong cold note reds mixed with warm flesh tones to give the contrast.
I use form and line to create strong statement pieces.

This painting will require a frame or casement for hanging.
