I spent my youth in Auxerre and without hesitation, I was destined for art. Dance, music, drawing, painting... François Brochet, sculptor from Auxerre, gave me my first box of oil paints for my 15th birthday.

I received artistic training from Jean-Michel Colignon, professor at the Beaux-Arts in Amiens, then in Paris (faculty of plastic arts, free Beaux-Arts workshops, Grande-Chaumière workshop).
In the 70's I I am an artistic director in advertising, then a freelance illustrator (portraits and characters) which led me to teach for many years at the Académie Charpentier (Paris-Montparnasse). Very beautiful experience, both on a human level and on a creative level.

Since childhood I have drawn and painted portraits. Then I alternated figuration and abstraction. Figuration by taste for drawing in all its forms and by curiosity about the other, whether it is a blade of grass or a human animal. I finally chose abstraction, in search of free writing, energy, movement, exploration of color, and above all spontaneity. Need to get out of form and conditioning. It was a long and exciting journey.

I am looking for vigorous writing, between spontaneity and mastery. Colors inspire me, textures, lights and the rhythms of nature... My pictorial universe is a quest for light and depth, for a breath revealing the invisible links that unite us on all levels of life. My language is nourished not only by the masters of Western art but also by my practice of Tai Chi and Chinese calligraphy. Each work tells the story of the moment, it is an attempt to celebrate life and beauty.
