Marie Fav is a French artist who has always practiced photography, and for years she revealed and printed her black and white silver photos herself. She did a lot of portraits, urban photos, day and night, criss-crossing Paris and other capitals with a tripod. Back from Prague, he was asked to co-direct an exhibition in a post office in Paris. She also had the opportunity to do a report in the favelas in Brazil, in several states. These are moving memories, poignant even, but one of the joys of his life. For practical reasons, she ended up betraying her love for film, and she went digital
When she retired, in the countryside, she did photo reports for newspapers like La Montagne as a press correspondent. She then learned to seize in the action "the moment T", to the nearest tenth of a second, during sports reports. And she had a good DSLR at her disposal.
In 2016, this activity was abruptly interrupted. An error during a surgical operation deprived her of much of her stability, making walking very difficult and very slow, and only on flat ground. She found herself with a flat and banal path as her daily walk, from which she could no longer stray.
She then became interested in everything that she now had time to look at closely, to observe: the surrounding landscapes, the effects of light depending on the time and the season, plants, insects, hedges , the trees, the cows, the goats in the meadows, the horses, their behavior… And she discovered incredible worlds!
She was thus pushed to develop naturalist photography, often narrative, always figurative. She reserves the abstract rather for painting (acrylic and oil).
