The Wilson Channel Range Lights have stood guard over Lake Huron's North Channel since the 1880's. The autumn light over the Channel is always amazing! The sky and the light change constantly as the clouds march form the St Mary's River to Lake Huron. The front range light stands 100 feet above the water, the rear light 675 feet above it. When you approach by boat from the west and the two light line up one above the other, your are on the correct course through the rocks and shoals from the St Joseph Channel into the Wilson Channel. 18 by 24 acrylic on canvas by Canadian landscape artist Margaret Allen. Margaret Allen is a Canadian born Artist and Photographer. She has spend all of her life in the golden triangle area of the Great Lakes, currently residing on Lake Huron's North Channel near the Kensington Land Convancey. The light and ever changing landscape are an inspiration at every turn. From the artists studio perched above the channel the clouds march by and the sky and light change constantly. Each season bring new colors to the landscape.

People stop to visit the art studio from across Canada and around the world during the summer months, drawn to the area by its diverse beauty and unique  history. From mining to agriculture to logging to rock quarries and shipping, there is plenty to see.
