More gifted for sport and outdoor life than for studies, he nevertheless obtained a federal diploma as a dentist in 1975, a profession in which his manual skill found an ideal field of expression when the sea, his terrain favorite game, don't monopolize it.
In 1986, the call of the open sea was irresistible and he cast off with his wife and children for a five-year journey that would see him cross the Atlantic, then Panama, and up to Alaska where he will stay for fifteen months before crossing the Pacific Ocean to New Zealand. Thus reliving the adventures of his youthful heroes….
Back in Geneva with his head full of images and memories, he decided to invest himself in another field of adventure: wood sculpture , drawing inspiration for his themes from the flashes that his wanderings on the oceans and distant lands bring to the surface in his imagination. Currently retired to Vernamiège, having gained height on this sunny side of the Val d'Hérens, nostalgia for the great marine spaces still guides his hand on the various species that Providence slips along his path.
