The long exposure time photography technique catches the unchanged outline of the land together with objects situated in the foreground. their sharp and clear contour is confronted with the matter of small forms (clouds and water) whose movement creates blurry and ambiguous picture. Usually I use from a couple of minutes to one hour time exposure to take particular photo. It's always a mystery what will finaly recorded on a film negative. Frozen places where land touches the sea what emanate from them are peace, sadness and eternal secret of creation. The moment of shooting is my own short time of invaluable of silence and contemplation and attempt to share it in my photographs.

Marcin Jastrzębski wurde 1974 in Lublin geboren. Er studierte Philosophie an der Marie-Curie-Sklodowska-Universität. Er ist Mitglied des Lubliner Fotografenverbandes und seit 2007 auch des Verbandes polnischer Kunstfotografen.

Er fotografiert hauptsächlich Natur, Landschaften und Wahrzeichen verschiedener Städte. Seine fotografischen Arbeiten sind eng mit seinem Interesse an Kunst und Grafik verbunden und so fotografiert er oft abstrakte Formen oder sehr subjektive Weltbilder. Unter freiem Himmel verwendet er eine lange Belichtungszeit, um das aufgenommene Bild zu entwirren, und die meisten Fotos werden in der Dämmerung oder im Morgengrauen aufgenommen, weil es für ihn „Zeiten des Wandels“ sind, in denen man die Welt auf die überraschendste Weise festhalten kann.

Marcin Jastrzębski nahm an vielen nationalen und internationalen Ausstellungen teil. Er ist auch Preisträger vieler Wettbewerbe in Polen und im Ausland.
