Marcela Jardón is a photographer and painter from Buenos Aires, Argentina, born in 1964. She obtained a diploma of Higher Professor in Drawing and Sculpture as well as a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from the National School of Fine Arts Prilidiano Pueyrredón of Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1988.
Marcela Jardón's artistic practice lies at the intersection of drawing, photography, video, new media, installation, visual poetry and artist's books. She explores the relationship between images and language as symbolic productions. His projects incorporate "repentismos graficos" and work with simple images and everyday objects to explore the obscure aspects of the unconscious, controversial concepts and hidden stories that often underlie what surrounds us.
Marcela Jardón's works have been exhibited and published in America, Europe and Asia, in institutions such as the University of Valencia, the Argentine Society of Plastic Artists of Buenos Aires, the Opera House of Sydney in Australia, the Kanazawa Art Center Citizen in Japan, the Museum of the University of Alicante... and in several galleries. Some of his works already belong to private and public collections in Argentina, Spain, Canada, Panama, Australia, Italy, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Japan, Sweden, United States. States, Mexico, the Netherlands, Belgium, among others.
