Production Methods explores the technological shift from analogue materiality towards digital. By combining risograph and screen printing, the piece purposefully juxtaposes key features of analogue imperfection with digital precision: Risograph printing, although digital, creates mechanical imperfections; in contrast, screen printing—although an analogue photographic method—symbolises digital printing precision and consistency.

The artwork magnifies overlaid halftone dot patterns traditionally used in offset lithography, emphasising the mechanical nature inherent to analogue image reproduction. Enlarging and overlapping these typically invisible dots create pronounced moiré effects—characteristic optical illusions that reference
Op Art techniques.

As the concluding piece of the Aesthetics diptych initiated by Colours, Production Methods continues the reflection on how Late Modernist analogue methods continue to coexist with and influence contemporary aesthetics.
