The artwork magnifies overlaid halftone dot patterns traditionally used in offset lithography, emphasising the mechanical nature inherent to analogue image reproduction. Enlarging and overlapping these typically invisible dots create pronounced moiré effects—characteristic optical illusions that reference
Op Art techniques.
As the concluding piece of the Aesthetics diptych initiated by Colours, Production Methods continues the reflection on how Late Modernist analogue methods continue to coexist with and influence contemporary aesthetics.
