GREAT VITJ LAKE (2010) Painting by Mara Lombardi

I was born in Milan, I still work there ( and live in the park of Ticino River, south of town). I graduated at the Brera artistic Lyceum, my tacher was DIMITRI PLESCAN. I then studid at the Art Academy of Brera with Raffaele De Grada and Domenico Purificato.
In 1985 I started working and opened a communication company (small). I still take care of it.
I felt in love with B&W photography, and then during years I deeply practiced ETCHING, which was a natural media for my ability and vision.
I realised a serie of etchings inspired by my travels and poetry.

I recently changed my artistic expression (since 2006) with a new orientation toward bigger paintings,m strong colors, in acrylics and oil, true materia.
This allowed me to express my life paths, new horizons I could glaze at.... Sicily, Tuscany, Iceland, NYC, Ausralia, India....

I wrote on 2005 a chapter on the book “La Magia della scrittura” (The Magic of Writing), book written by the famour italian linguist Alessandro Lucchini and others, chapter title: ”La parte dell’occhio” (On the side of the Eye) concerning liasons with language and artistic movement Futurism.

I am part of the hystorical "Associazione Artisti della Società per le Belle Arti ed Esposizione Permanente di Milano"
