Manorack, Author-photographer, born in Paris in 1956, currently lives in the Basque country (France).
His first photographic journey was with a Ricoh E from the 70s which was given to him for his 17th birthday.
Since then, the camera has never really left him. From film to digital and always purely self-taught, he has always tried to clear the path of aesthetics, of the beauty of the world, where the final image modulates according to its representation, its invention, his desire, in this "impermanence" that inhabits him, in short of his imagination.
His work of combining meaning, the sensitive allows him to meet very disparate universes, where he travels among colors, shapes and according to his inspiration, sometimes "confusing" an image to take it there. where you don't expect it to surprise the visitor and jostle him... arouse reactions, challenge the gaze, go beyond the real image.
His images are neither provocative nor subversive but suggestive, which question... our emotions, our senses and our limits.
He is driven by a form of freedom, by a need not to fit into a box, in a defined style.
His photographic expression would ultimately be plural and sometimes even “experimental”, but above all contemplative, even sometimes spiritual.
Moreover, he considers that Art has neither limit nor border, which is why he can rally, sometimes without complex, photography and painting as well as other mediums where the only expected result that emerges , is to encourage a certain openness...of mind...and in complete freedom.
