Self-taught, I learn intuitively, trusting my intuition and my spontaneity and, it is through trial and error, that I embrace my passion. Already as a child, charcoals, pencils and India ink filled the loose pages of my class notebooks. As a young adult, I devote myself to my professional career and to my family, after having completed my studies in psychosociology.
The passion for creativity is impregnated in me, the family fiber has woven its web. Restoration of old furniture, interior decoration, floral arrangements and watercolors remain on the menu of my family and professional life. Back at university in criminology, I revel in my pre-retirement while timidly re-taming my brushes in 2015.
Visits to museums, galleries and trips promote my artistic development and contribute to my development while fueling my thirst for creation. This will constitute the first milestones of an experimental journey in search of a creative Identity.
If I had to qualify this period, I would say that this slow journey allowed me to know what I didn't like to paint rather than the reverse. Among other things, I temporarily rejected the modern expression of art, preferring the more traditional form.
Oil painting and more recently acrylic suit my style. Concerned about aesthetics and detail, I emphasize contrasts and asymmetry, reflections of nature in its pure state. Water, light, plants are the vital symbols that I seek and find in the range of landscapes.
My works celebrate the purified nature of any human imprint and suggest a joyful composition of Life. The magic of the colors obeys no law, they intertwine on the canvases, vibrant and spontaneous. “I am a romantic and painting is my whimsical pen as a poet. ".
Each new challenge is punctuated by an artistic period that brings together a variety of subjects with which I identify. My paintings become the scenario of fragments of memories, the landscapes are reinvented in the colors of my moods. You have to dare to have fun!
The historical and cultural heritage of civilizations is among the scenes that fascinate me and, just like for landscapes, I let myself be impregnated by the coloring and the feeling of the moment, its vibration, its accents, its cachet, its modulations and I paint quite simply." The rest of the soap opera will develop according to the fantasies of life.
