LinGe MENG's works are based on his personal life experiences and he tries to use intimate elements of himself to enter into resonance with the external collective. By representing time, memory, the people around me and the mundane things that people usually ignore, he comes together and seeks to perceive his own identity in different cultural contexts. In his work he tries to reduce the representation of portraits, politics, identity and cultural differences to return to a deeper internal reflection on the person himself.
En As a Chinese born in the late 1980s, family planning is the memory of a generation. At a time when one child per family was the norm, the feeling of loneliness stayed with him until he became a father of two. He always took refuge in fantasy, imagining that he had other brothers to keep me company. In his work, he uses images of his daughter to reconstruct her childhood. These images are taken from the recording of his daughter in his life and are also a reminiscence and reflection of his own childhood. He uses elements of fantasy, dream, reality and personal experience to create a poetic and pleasant environment in which he can escape the effects of loneliness and engage in self-reliance. awareness and self-reflection.
