For workshop paintings that bear evidence of master craftsmanship, this attribution must be further qualified. They reach a greater audience than originals and act as a tonic against commodification. Original Artwork could also refer to the first work, which is always preceding all others. It could also refer to a prototype or a model from which other works can be made. Each work bears great similarities to the original.

Dans mon imaginaire inspirée de mon enfance en Gaspésie, les enfants sont heureux et pêchent le poisson pour le faire sécher sur la corde. Les cordes à linge toujours présentes laissent les draps rayés flotter au vent. Ça sent bon dans ce coin de pays ! Même gelée, l'odeur de la mer salée en hiver et les boules de neige parfumées de fraicheur qui sortent des cheminées nous racontent cette histoire. Les enfants jouent et ont un plaisir fou ! Que c'est bon de jouer dehors !

Ma muse pour cette aventure d'art naïf se nomme Gougoune, une chienne golden doodle pleine de vie.

Cette aquarelle est encadrée. Le cadre est de couleur brun foncé en bois véritable (voir dernière photo).

Watercolor

Watercolor is a painting in which gum arabic binds transparent pigments revealing the support of the painting. The gouache, of identical composition, is opaque. A watercolor is a water-based painting on paper. We rarely speak of a painting for a work painted in watercolor. Watercolor paintings are considered to be a unique way to creatively represent dreams, illusions, emotions and luminous feelings using water soluble pigments. However, painting with watercolors can be difficult. It's a difficult medium to master, in large part because it can be ruthless and unpredictable. Mistakes are difficult to correct and its fluid nature makes it difficult to control. Yet it is these very qualities that give the medium its undeniable charm.

Painting is an art form of painting on a surface by aesthetically applying colored fluids. Painters represent a very personal expression on supports such as paper, rock, canvas, wood, bark, glass, concrete and many other substrates.
