My world is colorful, and my paintings reflect my emotions. Just like memories, each painting is filled with successive layers of paint, thus building a rich history in each piece. I transfer to the canvas with my unique shapes and strokes. Although largely self-taught, I attended the Yerevan Academy of Fine Arts and the Theological Academy where I developed my talent for abstract art. I am influenced by the work of Orazio Gentileschi, El Greco, Jérôme Bosch, Gernot Kissel, Fernand Léger and Claude Viallar. Brushes, floats and knives reveal my passion for abstract art. I express emotion as a visual language, using pure colors and expressive marks to connect and communicate. My movements flow naturally, offering unconstrained textures, colors and expressions of lines in all their complexity. Color is definitely my instrument and my work lives through the movement of brushwork and lush layers... I am just the notion that makes it dance across the canvas.
