My professional background is most atypical, I was not given the opportunity to enter an Art School, and most asocial, I’ve learned drawing by myself. I discovered the basics of painting thanks to Ben-Ami Koller, who inspired me a lot.I’ve been few time in a commercial drawer school, but I was very disappointed about this formatted environment, I left. I only had regrets about the sketching courses, with a very hard teacher, but captivating. Then I use my talents and my obstinacy to become a Tattoo Artist, work I do now for more than 10 years, painting allow me to left the precision imposed by Tattoo. It brings me back the liberty of express more naturally, without technical constraint or need to be liked, so a total liberty of my choices.
I paint trying to keep an aspect of realism, in a raw way, letting everyone's imagination create the missing details in this disorder. My painting is between abstract and figurative, realism and expressionism.
My achievements often have a meaning that is unconscious to me, guided by the aesthetic side above all.No, there is no deep meaning in my works, everyone sees what their unconscious lets them see,and the so-called "deep" discussions around what I do have no interest in my eyes, and I consider them as intellectual masturbation. Sorry for art critics finding hidden meanings where there are none, but after trying to play the game in exhibitions, I want to be honest:
I put paint on canvas.
