Geometric 2020 - 68cy40 is an abstraction of a tiny detail of another kaleidoscopic image (Geometric 2020 - 68), representing about 1/100,000 of the original image. Geometric 2020 - 68cy40 is an abstraction of a tiny detail of another kaleidoscopic image (Geometric 2020 - 68), representing about 1/100,000 of the original image. There are several versions of the Geometric 2020 - 68cy series, limited to 3 prints for each version. In this version, 68cy40, I have rendered the background in olive green and all the elements of the image in black, outlined in bright aqua to give a somewhat phosphorescent effect. The elements themselves while not specifically any recognizable objects are meant to invoke associations with many possible interpretations including: hieroglyphics, bullet holes in a metal sign, silhouettes of figures in various positions, water droplet splashes on a metal plate, fragments of a torn document, flecks of peeled off paint on a wall, pentimento having totally overtaken an old painting.

Please note - due to Covid-19 limitations still affecting me, delivery will take about 3 to 4 weeks depending on destination country

Ken Lerner is a passionate photographic artist, born into a family of renowned photographers in 1947. He began taking photos at the age of 6, using a camera given to him by his father. But he was not interested in simply reproducing real life moments. His vision was more subjective and he sought to project an internal reality of that moment.

At the beginning of his career, he almost exclusively created images with multiple exposures. This gave a complex structure to the images and represented a subjective view of the world. In the 2010s, after working in financial product sales, he returned to photography producing only single exposure images. Even though they were less structurally complex, they still represented a subjective view of the world, being almost totally abstract. Ken works extensively with reflective surfaces such as water, glass and metal.

A lover of the beauty of nature, Ken Lerner paints and photographs a lot of landscapes and seascapes. He is interested in presenting different possibilities of representing "nature" and often produces many variations of an image with different colors, shades, contrasts and saturations.
