Pictorial art is my passion and reason for being. Between figuration (studied at the St-Luc Institute in Tournai with Messrs Salembier and Roland) and abstraction (studied at the St-Luc Institute in Brussels with Madame Wery and Monsieur Carlier) my heart balance since always... I sometimes try to combine the 2 categories into 'abstract landscapes', to avoid this dilemma.

My figurative painting in oil on canvas uses glazes and thin translucent layers because at the start of my secondary studies, I studied at the Technical Institute of Mouscron decoration painting (with learning in particular fake wood and glazed marble). I particularly like blue (the color of my eyes); blue green and orange red. I paint my landscapes (when possible) from life with the final touches in the studio or from photos. My favorite subjects are Geneva, Venice and the Alps, but I also like to create paintings on poppy fields and the North Sea.

My abstract painting is mainly "surface-support" on large formats (in monochrome or close to monochrome) made in mixed technique (with the opposition of white spirit and water) and painted with a roller.

I was born in Mouscron in 1959, in Belgium
