The EMD G22TCU is a narrow gauge diesel-electric locomotive designed and built by the Electro-Motive Division of General Motors. It was manufactured and exported to many countries between 1972 and 1997. Number 9724 was built in Argentina by Astarsa (Astilleros Argentinos Río de La Plata S.A.) and still runs on the argentinian network, one of the biggest in the world with about 40’000 km tracks.
