Marine Incani, alias Petit Jouy, is a contemporary French painter. The sources of her creative inspiration include Celtic bestiaries, ancient masks, folklore, ornaments, dreams, furniture from the 1960s to the future and the architecture and way of life in the stylish neighborhoods where she grew up. Her work's spontaneity creates a hypersensitive cosmos where each piece questions, challenges, and releases energy.
Her works are centered on human beings. She aims to challenge the status quo, share her personal viewpoint, and raise delicate social issues including those relating to gender, the environment, women, our relationships with our contemporaries, and even our inner journeys.
Petit Jouy received the award from the Departmental Council of Indre et Loire's "Price of pictorial originality" in 2021, at the 37th Ballan-Miré exposition. She participated in the Luxembourg Art Prize Art competition that same year, and the museum's selection committee awarded her a certificate of artistic merit for her work.
