A designer by profession, Mota Montero's real passion is art. The painter, whos Artstudio is based in Germany, confesses that he keeps far too much information in his head. He takes the time to observe seemingly minute details in everyday life and his art endeavors to share them with others. Montero enjoys the printing process and employs unique patterns in his compositions. He paints using acrylics and mixed media.
From an early age, Jose Montero shows talent and interest in the world of art - not only in painting - but also in drawings and design drafts.
The artist was born and raised in Santiago de Chile.
In Germany, he successfully studied communication design, completed internships ao. at VH1 in Los Angeles and (co-founded) art and design workshops in Berlin and Santiago de Chile. In addition to art and design, he is fascinated by architecture, the basics of which he acquired in self-study and which he translated into exhibition stands for Chile abroad as well as several self-designed and executed building projects for houses in Chile.
His professional life he dedicated to architecture and design - his personal feelings and moods he expresses in his pictures. The different techniques of abstract painting are therefore perfect for the artist.
Choosing the free techniques that allow a designing with different materials and colors, creates a large scope that always leads to unique images. Playing with colors and techniques and the desire to experiment, characterizes Jose Montero’s work.
His paintings are about a feeling. He paints what life experiences, certain events and environmental impressions leave in him. Jose Montero’s paintings impress through the composition of the colors, which, rich in nuances and combined with magical forms, seem to tell dreams.
