The story that informed this work, one evening i was in bed and i asked God what to paint and He says: "the four angels";found in the bible "Revelation 7".This archangel name is (Michael) stands at the east, holding back the winds of strife from destroying the earth. The "seven stars" in the painting are symbolic in many ways in that,"7" is God's favourite number because God speaks in the "language" of "seven"; that has a symbolic meaning. I depicted the "7" stars to this angel because the "east" is significant in biblical terms; in that "Jesus" "will appear in the "east" on His return".Oil is my favorite medium; religious theme is one of my favorite subject.I developed this style from art school in 1990; which is now my mature style of painting.
