Joël CAZAUX born in 1940 in Dinard, he already took pebbles, stones and footprints with his friends.
In 1955 he entered Corvisart (Graphic Arts Center) where he became aware of his loving patience for letters and drawing.
From 1956 to 1960 (L’école Estienne), where he graduated as an offset chromist. It affirms in him his passion for painting and the history of art.
Then, two years of training with Marc Stockman, a Belgian painter, who has a personal way of approaching the history of art, a fundamental encounter which confirms him in the orientation of his creation and where he approaches the pedagogy in him succeeding in the itinerant courses established by Mr Lautrec, inventor of the Popular Academies of Plastic Arts.
From 1967 to 1968 Hayter's engraving workshop introduced him to printmaking techniques.
From 1969 to 2000 he was also a professor of Plastic Arts at the Beaux-Arts d’Architecture in Paris.
In 1972 he explored sculpture, alongside painting, broadening his field of expression.
From 1968 to this day, personal and group exhibitions have followed one another in Paris,
in the provinces, abroad, particularly in Switzerland and Germany.
In 1977, he moved into pole dancing while continuing his lessons in Paris, where he affirmed in paintings, sculptures and prints, his passion for all the archaisms of all civilizations. Joël CAZAUX says that he follows this constant astonishment which guides him towards the universal in each of us, the only guarantee of a perpetual ferment of a living creation.
