The artist thinks that by using a three-dimensional method, the viewer will be able to see and feel the pleasant, intimate human emotions she is trying to depict more clearly. Jill Nassau attempts to represent specific occurrences that are uniquely personal, occasionally amusing, occasionally mystical, and unusual ways we all interact in our daily lives in her oil paintings on canvas portraits. The artist adores the ocean and beaches, as well as lovely people dressed in vibrant clothing that the sun highlights. There is an otherworldly atmosphere that arises when reflections dance on the water and the waves make both tranquil and powerful sounds. Her primary tools for capturing these feelings are brush and paint.
