This piece started out light and carefree. As I made progress, it became soulful with many different emotions which turned into a sense of PEACE at completion. Hence the name PAX which means PEACE. It is of Latin origin. The name itself represents the Goddess of peace and offerings.
Original, one-of-a-kind artwork. Created with multimedia on primed paper. Matted and framed under acrylic/glass with a purple mat and a black frame 22 X 26.. Unframed this painting measures 19 x 24. The wire-hanging device is attached to the back of the frame, ready to hang.

I am JE Sunnie. Originally, from the Caribbean. I have lived in the United States for over 46 years, became a US citizen in the early-1980s, and have traveled Internationally extensively. Recently retired in beautiful Sedona, Arizona.
A self-taught Artist. As a child, I stopped displaying my artistic abilities due to trauma and life-changing events throughout my life. I found my way back to art during my spiritual healing journey. My works explore different aspects of thought-provoking art through expressionism, culturally diverse, tribal, eclectic contemporary painting, and abstract art. My paintings begin vaguely and evolve into the final piece, through the emotions felt during each creation.
My background is in holistic health and well-being. I owned an upscale Day Spa & Beauty Salon in the San Francisco Bay Area in the '90s. A Psycho Aromatherapist, Reiki, and Seichim Master, and Certified Yoga Teacher. Specialized in Deep tissue, Swedish, and Rolfing Massage techniques. I am also a Lymphatic Drainage Spa Therapist, and Master Herbalist. And, I am a first-time author of “Self Care to Self Love” which is available on Amazon.
I enjoy travel, hiking, gardening, yoga meditation, sound healing, cooking awesome vegan meals, blogging, and of course, creating thought-provoking art.
