Most humans seem to live with anxiety. Same goes for me. I often feel ‘mental disorder’ caused by anxiety. This is because I often feel the gap between my reality and my ideal. I think a world that appears simply is the most ideal state. But in reality, I often feel that this is not the case. The complexity that arises from such a gap in perception seems to make me anxious.

When I feel like this, I tend to observe the scenery outside the window. Paradoxically, observing the scenery outside the window, which may be complex, frees me from my sense of disconnection. The diurnal movement of the sun, rivers winding between mountains, quiet lakes, vibrant natural objects, etc. At first, these landscapes seemed complicated to me and I felt a sense of disconnect. However, continued observation led us to believe that the world was in fact not only complex, but also composed of very simple elements.

I began to deconstruct the world into small parts and simplify them. This process allowed me to recognize the world that had once seemed complex to me as a collection of simple elements. Based on this perception, I began to express the world I recreated in my head. The boundary between reality and ideals has disappeared. This activity of expressing the world from my own perspective made me think more brightly and positively about the world by preventing me from settling into ‘mental disorder.’
