Colorful sunny scene of the souvenir shops and the 'official' form of transportation,..the donkey. Absolutely no motorized vehicles nor bicycles (except for municipal garbage truck) are permitted on this tranquil 'oasis' in the Aegean..located 90 minutes from Athens by Hydrafoil.

The island is quiet..yet its cafes and tavernas come to life after sunset.

The artist, Jeff Sterling was featured in an art exhibit on this island..and some of his unique depictions of traditional Greek costumes and scenes of Hydra have sold recently.

This 100% Original painting,illustration was created with watercolors, India Ink, gouache,acrylics and oil pastels on 12 inch wide X 9 inch deep acid free Strathmore Bristol 100 wt paper. It is signed and dated lower right corner.

An International Greeting Card company began to feature Original paintings and Illustrations by Mr. Sterling.
