Biography
Jean-Claude Chevrel is an autodidact of everything, in turn optico-electronics specialist, computer scientist, commercial, economist, lecturer, manager or director of companies, and now artist photographer, Jean-Claude Chevrel turns tirelessly towards new horizons, with new thirst for discovery, and above all for encounters and sharing.
"Fallen into photography" at the dawn of his 6th birthday when he saw his father develop himself, after the war, the few family films, first camera a year later, the fascination of the image never left him again. . The fact of never having exercised professionally, allowed him to keep his total freedom of expression, and to always follow his desires.
Photographs of travel, nature, portraits, landscapes, reportage, expression, on multiple themes, have brought him in recent years towards a much more abstract art, but exploiting in an unusual way, elements of daily life and leading to another vision of these realities. The fact of not modifying or retouching these images in post-processing is for the author, another way of interfering with the element in question... or of going behind in an imaginary journey, an odyssey through the realities.
After a long work of research and formatting (creation and manufacture of accessories and development of an innovative personal technique), the ultimate surprise and reward for the photographer arrived at the shooting: an extraordinary journey in an unsuspected universe, somewhat reminiscent of childish kaleidoscopes!
The prints were made on fine grain matte canvas allowing a deeper black of the image and dematerializing its surface.

Bonjour à tous,
Après de longs mois d'inactivité pour raisons de santé, me voici de nouveau parmi vous et replongé dans la concrétisation de plusieurs projets photographiques en suspens... bien sûr aussi dans de nouvelles recherches, de nouvelles réalisations pour les mois à venir...
J'ai pu constater avec grand plaisir que mes visiteurs ont perduré à visiter mes pages, et je les en remercie vivement.
Je tiens aussi à remercier les nombreuses personnes qui m'ont apporté soutien, encouragements et amitié, tout au long de ces pénibles et longs mois.
