Jean Paul Baret is a photographer who graduated in interior architecture from ESAA (HEAD, Geneva) in 1976. He made about ten group exhibitions during the 80s and 90s and set up my interior architecture firm.
At the same time, he continues his creative work in the continuity of movements such as those initiated by Constructivism, Neoplasticism, Bauhaus, De Stijl etc.... Since 2010, he has worked mainly on "photographic images"
His works are made from photos of “ephemeral sculptures” (ephemeral because they are then destroyed) on papers of different textures, printed with geometric patterns (or not) and then reworked on the computer.
It is a research work on the constructed from simple elements (white sculptures) that can be either modified by color, grain or smoothness, the addition of geometric figures, dimensions, sharpness or the vagueness.....remained "raw and minimalist".
Jean Paul Baret was born in 1952 in Grenoble. He lives and works in Viriville (France).
